What a wonderful day, isn't it!? A day where Americans run around visiting "loved ones", putting on fake faces, pretending to enjoy the time hustling and bustling around to later then turn around and bitch and complain about having to do so. I do not look at the holidays as special anymore as I have learned to give thanks EVERYDAY from getting up in the morning to the time I lay my head down at night.

I do not currently reside in the USA. I am having jaffles for dinner. It is spring. It would be magic if it were fall and I was eating left over turkey with peppers on sourdough. And if you can see large trees with the leaves changing color, all I can say is that I am jealous. Go with the holiday if you can - but I have never understood American football and nobody should be obliged to watch it. Stay in bed with a good book, like ECOLOGY OF FEAR by MIKE DAVIS ... and Mary, I hope your bubs are OK.
